Tulane University senior Amira Mabry has been named to the 2026 Academic All-District women’s basketball team, according to a Mar. 24 announcement from College Sports Communicators (CSC). Mabry is the only player from Tulane’s Green Wave to receive this recognition for her combined achievements on the court and in academics this season.
The award highlights student-athletes who excel both athletically and academically, underscoring the importance of balancing sports with education. The CSC Academic All-America program recognizes honorees in four divisions: NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA.
This marks Mabry’s third career selection after previously earning the honor in 2024 and 2025. Since 2000, eight Tulane players have received CSC Academic All-District honors. Other recipients include Britt Themann (2002, 2003), Jamie Kaplan (2014), Irina Parau (2024), and Victoria Keenan (2025).
Mabry is originally from Converse, Texas. While she is a senior athletically, she has already completed her bachelor’s degree at Tulane and is now pursuing a master’s degree in neuroscience with a cumulative GPA of 3.942. On the court this season, she averaged 9.9 points per game over all 31 contests as a starter. She also recorded an average of six rebounds per game while shooting 45.3 percent from the field.
During her final campaign at Tulane, Mabry reached two significant milestones: surpassing both her 500th career rebound and scoring her 1,000th career point—becoming just the thirty-third member of Tulane’s “1,000-points club.” She finished her college career ranked twenty-third on Tulane’s all-time scoring list with a total of 1,083 points and ranks tenth in program history for field goal percentage at fifty point nine percent over four seasons.
Academic All-District honorees are eligible for consideration on the CSC Academic All-America ballot; first-, second-, and third-team selections will be announced April 15.
