NEW ORLEANS — Andrew Sensi, American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Project Manager of New Orleans, LA, has been appointed to the National League of Cities (NLC) 2024 Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Federal Advocacy Committee. Mr. Sensi was elected to a one-year term and will provide strategic direction and guidance for NLC’s federal advocacy agenda and policy priorities on sustainability, climate change, community resilience, water infrastructure, solid waste management and more. The appointment was announced by NLC President Mayor David Sander of Rancho Cordova, CA.
“New Orleans is one of the most vulnerable cities in America to the effects of climate change,” said Sensi. “I am proud of the tremendous progress the city has made in recent years towards becoming more sustainable and resilient. Working as a member of the city’s ARPA Implementation team, I have seen firsthand how impactful federal resources can be in creating positive change and I am excited about the opportunity to help New Orleans and other cities partner with the federal government to create more resilient cities.”
As a member of NLC’s Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Committee, Mr. Sensi will play a key role in shaping NLC’s policy positions and advocate on behalf of America’s cities, towns and villages before Congress, with the administration and at home.

The leadership of this year’s committee will consist of Chair Ruth Grendahl, Councilmember, Apple Valley, MN; Vice Chair Laura Dent, Vice Mayor, Harrisonburg, VA; and Vice Chair Brian Jones, Councilmember, Union City, GA.
