Congressman Troy A. Carter, who represents Louisiana’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a range of issues on his social media accounts, including health care access, support for federal workers, and recognition of Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi’s legislative legacy.
On November 5, 2025, Carter commented on the start of ACA health care open enrollment and criticized Republican lawmakers for not extending tax credits. He stated, “ACA health care open enrollment has started. Louisianians are being forced into an impossible decision because Republicans refuse to extend critical tax credits. No one should have to choose between health care and putting food on the table. Please know that I’m still fighting”.
Later that day, Carter expressed appreciation for federal employees and law enforcement at the Capitol. In a post dated November 5, 2025, he wrote: “Our federal workers, including U.S. Capitol Police officers, do so much to keep our government running safely and effectively. It was great to join @RepJeffries and @HouseDemocrats to provide them with lunch and thank them for their ongoing service and commitment. I’ll keep”.
On November 6, 2025, Carter acknowledged Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi’s impact on major legislative initiatives such as the Affordable Care Act and American Rescue Plan: “Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi has been a steadfast champion for the American people. From the #AffordableCareAct, to the #AmericanRescuePlan, to the #InflationReductionAct, she helped deliver life-changing progress that expanded access to health care, uplifted working families,”.
