U.S. Congressman Troy A. Carter, who represents Louisiana’s 2nd district, shared a series of posts on August 2, 2025, addressing national economic concerns and highlighting recent personal achievements.

In a post from August 2, Carter criticized former President Donald Trump’s policies in light of the latest jobs report: “Today’s #JobsReport confirms what we already knew: Trump’s policies are a disaster for everyday American families. Later that day, Carter posted a brief message referencing prominent figures and political initiatives: “Let that sink in— TRUMP/ MUSK Project 2025! https://t.co/Trk0O6LWfJ” (August 2).

On the same date, Carter reflected on his participation at Southern University’s Summer Executive Ph.D. in Public Policy Hooding Ceremony: “It was an honor to deliver the hooding address at @SouthernU_BR’s Summer Executive Ph.D. in Public Policy Hooding Ceremony. Carter has represented Louisiana’s 2nd congressional district since 2021 after succeeding Cedric Richmond and previously served both in the Louisiana House of Representatives and Senate. Born in New Orleans in 1963 and currently residing there, he is also an alumnus of Xavier University of Louisiana.
