Congressman Troy A. Carter, who represents Louisiana’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, has used his social media platform to comment on recent developments regarding the ongoing government shutdown and its impact on federal assistance programs, as well as to congratulate a historic political milestone.

On November 5, Carter turned attention to electoral news in Virginia: “Congratulations to my dear friend, former congressional colleague, and Governor-Elect @SpanbergerForVA!
