On November 26, Carter expressed pride in initiating the 51st Annual Bayou Classic. He described the event as more than just a game, emphasizing its cultural and historical significance to his district. He stated, “I’m proud to help kick off the 51st Annual #BayouClassic! It’s more than game; it is an integral part of our culture and history in #LA02. Let’s celebrate the resilience, rivalry, and determination of two extraordinary #HBCUs, @SouthernU_BR & @Grambling1901.”

Later that day, Carter shared details of a meeting with military personnel from the U.S. Army Reserve’s 377th Theater Sustainment Command. He mentioned that this command is one of the largest in the nation and is headquartered at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in New Orleans. He noted his pleasure in meeting Major General Justin Swanson and Major Bobbie Ragsdale, stating “It was a pleasure meeting with Major General Justin Swanson and Major Bobbie Ragsdale of the @USArmyReserve 377th Theater Sustainment Command.”

On November 27, Congressman Carter shifted focus to personal matters by sharing his Thanksgiving preparations. He posted about starting a turkey brine using family recipes for deep-fried turkeys. He enthusiastically wrote about his culinary endeavors: “The 24 hour turkey brine has begun! Three large turkeys soaking in my secret concoctions of herbs, spices and secret Carter family recipes!”
