On April 20, 2025, Carter expressed his thoughts on Easter Sunday, highlighting its importance for Christians as a time of “reflection, renewal, and rejoicing in the resurrection of Christ,” considering it a reminder that “hope rises, even after the darkest days.” He noted that this season is significant across various faiths, mentioning that “Passover celebrates liberation” and referencing the observance of Ramadan.
The following day, April 21, 2025, Carter commented on the death of Pope Francis. In one post, he acknowledged the pontiff’s impact by stating, “The world mourns the passing of Pope Francis—a man of humility, compassion, and justice.” He shared his connection to Louisiana, describing it as a “deeply Catholic state” and expressing his honor towards the Pope’s legacy.

Troy Carter, born in 1963 in New Orleans, Louisiana, holds a BA from Xavier University of Louisiana, obtained in 1986. His political career began in the Louisiana House of Representatives in 1992, followed by service in the Louisiana Senate from 2016 to 2021.
