On April 3, 2025, Carter addressed his followers with a statement about Social Security. He asserted, “Democrats will not stop fighting to protect #SocialSecurity from the Musk-Trump administration. On April 4, 2025, in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Carter emphasized his commitment to justice and equality. He noted, “On April 4, 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated, but his fight for justice and #equality lives on. I remain committed to standing against all forms of hatred and discrimination while working to build a more equitable future for all. As the Musk-Trump Administration”.
