Social Security isn’t a “handout,” it is an EARNED benefit and #WeWontLetThem rob the American people of it. @TheBlackCaucus”.

Later on the same day, Carter discussed the BEAD program and infrastructure issues. He claimed, “I’ve been a strong supporter of the BEAD program from day one. Louisiana was the first state to receive funds from the #BipartisanInfrastructureLaw for this program with bipartisan support, but now funding has suddenly stalled under Republican leadership. The internet is not a”.

On April 4, 2025, in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Carter emphasized his commitment to justice and equality. He noted, “On April 4, 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated, but his fight for justice and #equality lives on. I remain committed to standing against all forms of hatred and discrimination while working to build a more equitable future for all. As the Musk-Trump Administration”.
