The Crescent City Classic will take place on April 4, starting from the intersection of Poydras and Loyola in New Orleans. The race formation area will extend from Poydras/Loyola to Poydras/South Claiborne, with the route continuing along Poydras Street, Decatur Street, Esplanade Avenue, onto City Park Avenue, and ending near the New Orleans Museum of Art in City Park.

The event is expected to impact several key areas along the race route. No parking zones will be enforced beginning at 11:30 p.m. on Friday, April 3 through noon on Saturday, April 4. Organizers have stated that fencing for chutes and corrals in the formation area will be set up overnight before the race begins.

Fencing is scheduled to be installed in parking lanes near NOPD Headquarters at 1615 Poydras Street and at 1340 Poydras Street as part of preparations for different starting groups. No Parking signs have been posted along Poydras Street indicating that restrictions are in effect during this period.

Organizers warn that construction of the formation area operates under a tight schedule and any vehicles parked illegally within these restricted zones may be immediately towed. People attending events such as concerts at Smoothie King Arena on Friday night are also advised to pay close attention to these temporary parking rules.

These measures aim to ensure safety for participants and minimize disruptions during one of New Orleans’ major annual races.
