Former St. Augustine High School star Jaron Pierre Jr. and his collegiate team, the SMU Mustangs, were eliminated from the NCAA Tournament on Wednesday, March 18, after an 89-79 defeat by the Miami RedHawks.

The matchup was held at UD Arena with tipoff at 8:10 p.m.

Pierre Jr. tallied 18 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals while playing 39 minutes in the contest.
