Jaron Pierre Jr., a distinguished alumnus of St. Augustine High School, put forth a strong effort Wednesday, March 4, but it wasn’t enough in the SMU Mustangs’ 77-69 defeat against the Miami Hurricanes.

The 6′5″ guard recorded 27 points, four rebounds and three steals while playing all 40 minutes.

Pierre Jr. and the Mustangs will take on the Florida State Seminoles in their next matchup, scheduled for Saturday, March 7 at 2 p.m. on the road.
