Jaron Pierre Jr., a former St. Augustine High School standout, took the court on Wednesday, Feb. 25, as the SMU Mustangs suffered a 73-69 defeat to the California Golden Bears.
The 6-foot-5 guard added 14 points, four rebounds and three assists over 34 minutes of play.
Looking ahead, Pierre Jr. and SMU visit the Stanford Cardinal on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m.
These ex-Nola area high school standouts will participate in competitions on Sunday, April 19.
Tulane men’s tennis ended its season after falling to Rice University at the American Conference Championships on April 17. Daniel Phillips earned Tulane’s only point during singles play while Rice secured both doubles victories.
Tulane University sailing will host the SEISA Fleet Race Conference Championships at Lake Pontchartrain this weekend. Eight teams are set to compete in both open and women’s divisions starting April 18. Live results will be available online.
