Former Jesuit High School standout Holden Hess and the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks were defeated 16-6 by the Southeastern Louisiana Lions in Wednesday’s NCAA Division I baseball contest, held March 4 at 4 p.m.

Lou St. Amant Field hosted the teams’ second faceoff of the season; the Lions also came away victorious in their previous matchup on Tuesday, March 3, winning 15-5.

Hess pitched 1.1 innings, surrendering four earned runs with two walks and one strikeout.

The Warhawks are scheduled to play again Friday, March 6, at 6 p.m. at Clay Gould Ballpark against the UT Arlington Mavericks.
