Alex Sumler, a former standout at McDonogh #35 Senior High School and current player for the Lamar Cardinals, will take part in the NCAA Division I FCS Football Championship.
The Lamar Cardinals enter the tournament as the No. 10 seed and will face the No. 10 seeded Abilene Christian Wildcats in their opening game.
The first matchup is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 29, at 12 p.m.
Sarah Rubi has been named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team for women’s bowling. The Tulane graduate student is recognized for both her academic achievements and athletic performance during her first season with the Green Wave.
On Saturday, March 14, these former Nola area high school standouts will be in action.
The Tulane Green Wave women’s bowling team will compete in USBC sectional qualifiers this weekend in Fort Worth. Success could send them to national championships next month in Wisconsin.
