The New Orleans Police Department announced on April 14 that a coordinated traffic operation will take place on the Crescent City Connection bridge. The operation is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, from approximately 7:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

This temporary rolling closure will affect traffic moving from the East Bank to the West Bank in support of public safety operations. The effort is being conducted in partnership with the Louisiana State Police and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.

All on-ramps to Interstate 10 East and U.S. 90 Business between South Carrollton Avenue and General De Gaulle Drive will be temporarily closed during this period. However, motorists traveling westbound on U.S. 90 Business from the West Bank through New Orleans onto Interstate 10 West will not be impacted by these closures.

Authorities said that traffic will be restored as quickly as possible once the operation concludes. Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly for potential delays during this time.

“We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation as we carry out this coordinated effort,” officials said.
