New Orleans Police seek person of interest in February homicide investigation

The New Orleans Police Department announced on Apr. 20 that it is seeking the public’s help to locate Donovan Demazeliere, a person of interest in an ongoing homicide investigation.

Police say Demazeliere, a Black male born on March 3, 2006, may be driving a Nissan Altima with Louisiana license plate number 625 DYP. Investigators believe he has information important to the case regarding a homicide that occurred on February 4 in the 1800 block of North Miro Street.

Authorities emphasized that Demazeliere is not wanted for this crime but is being sought solely for the information he may possess about the incident. “Please note Donovan Demazeliere is NOT wanted for this crime and is sought only because of the information he is believed to possess,” police said.
