New Orleans Police seek person of interest in February homicide investigation

The New Orleans Police Department announced on Apr. 8 that it is seeking the public’s help to locate Donovan Demazeliere, a person of interest in a recent homicide investigation.

Police said Demazeliere, a Black male born on March 3, 2006, may have information important to the investigation into a homicide that occurred on February 4 in the 1800 block of North Miro Street. Authorities clarified that Demazeliere is not wanted for the crime itself but is being sought solely because of the information he may possess.

“Please note Donovan Demazeliere is NOT wanted for this crime and is sought only because of the information he is believed to possess,” police said.

Anyone with additional details that could assist detectives has been asked to contact NOPD Homicide detectives at 504-658-5300.
