The New Orleans Police Department announced on Apr. 9 that it is seeking the public’s help to locate a person of interest connected to an illegal dumping incident.

The request for assistance is related to an event that took place on April 4, when a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with Louisiana license plate C884404 was reportedly used in illegal dumping near the Michoud exit off Interstate 10 westbound. The registered owner of the vehicle, Joseph Koutheir Jebara, a Hispanic male born on September 8, 1983, is being sought by police for information regarding the case.

Police clarified that Jebara is not currently wanted for this crime but may have information important to the investigation. “Note Joseph Koutheir Jebara is NOT currently wanted for this crime and is sought because of the information he is believed to possess,” authorities said. Officials also reminded the public that “all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.”
