The New Orleans Police Department announced on Mar. 12 that it is seeking the public’s help to locate a person of interest related to a recent theft investigation.
Police are looking for Russell Keith Banks, Jr., a Black male born on July 7, 1992, who is believed to have information important to the case. The theft occurred around 7:00 a.m. on March 9 in the 3300 block of Clouet Street.
Authorities said that Banks is not wanted for the crime itself but may possess details that could assist detectives with their ongoing investigation. “Note Russell Keith Banks, Jr. is NOT wanted for this crime and is sought only because of the information he is believed to possess,” police said in their statement.
The department also reminded the public that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
