New Orleans Police seek public help in theft by fraud investigation

The New Orleans Police Department asked for the public’s assistance on March 26 in locating a suspect wanted for theft by fraud.

According to police, Dashia Autry, a Black female born on March 12, 1996, is sought in connection with an incident that occurred on March 15. Investigators said Autry accessed a victim’s cellphone after it was stolen and took money from the victim’s account.

Police remind the public that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Authorities encourage anyone with information about this case to contact NOPD Fifth District detectives at 504-658-6050.
