The New Orleans Police Department announced on May 4 that it is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted for felony theft.
The police are searching for Jessica Leigh Carter, described as a White female with a date of birth of September 13, 2003. Authorities said Carter is pictured in materials released by the department.
Investigators reported that the incident occurred on April 26, when a victim’s wristwatch was stolen in the 200 block of Poydras Street. Detectives identified Carter as the suspect through their investigation and confirmed that there is an active warrant for her arrest. The department also stated, “All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.”
