The New Orleans Police Department announced on Apr. 6 that it is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Feriyon Destany Brown, who is wanted for theft by fraud.

Police said Brown, a Black female born on August 1, 1997, allegedly posed as a rideshare driver and picked up a victim in the Central Business District on March 15, 2026. During the ride, investigators say she gained possession of the victim’s cellular phone. Shortly after this incident, several unauthorized transactions were made from the victim’s bank account.

Authorities remind the public that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
