The New Orleans Police Department announced on Apr. 2 that it is seeking public assistance to locate Jon Anderson, who is wanted for multiple charges including four counts of forgery, seven counts of filing false public records, and three counts of online impersonation.

Police say the charges stem from incidents between June 11, 2024 and June 9, 2025 involving a property in the 600 block of North Pierce Street. According to investigators, Anderson submitted several forged building and mechanical inspection reports for the property. Authorities allege he created a fraudulent email address similar to that of a licensed third-party inspector and used it to send falsified inspection documents to city officials. The reports reportedly contained digitally altered photographs and modified prior inspection documents obtained from public sources. Investigators also said Anderson uploaded a forged construction contract into the city’s permit system.

Anderson is described as a white male with date of birth January 13, 1987. He may also use the name Jon Andersen.

Authorities remind the public that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
