The New Orleans Police Department asked for the public’s help on May 4 in identifying and locating a suspect wanted for theft by fraud and vehicle burglary.

Police said the incident began when a victim’s purse was stolen during a vehicle burglary on April 13 in the 1600 block of North Rocheblave Street. Surveillance video captured the suspect later that day, around 2:07 p.m., using the victim’s credit or debit cards at a business located in the 1900 block of North Broad Street.

Authorities reminded residents that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. They encouraged anyone with information about this case to contact NOPD First District detectives at 504-658-6010. Anonymous tips can be provided by calling Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP, or online through https://www.crimestoppersgno.org.
