The New Orleans Privateers lost 17-12 to the ULM Warhawks in a high-scoring baseball game on Mar. 18 at Lou St. Amant Field.
The matchup saw both teams scoring frequently, with the Privateers putting runs on the board in seven of their nine innings. ULM responded quickly, scoring three runs in their half of the first inning and adding five more in the second, including a home run by Marcus Aranda. The Warhawks extended their lead further with a four-run fourth inning that included only one hit but was aided by walks, wild pitches, and errors from New Orleans.

However, ULM added two more runs in their half of the eighth to secure the win. The game marked the 65th meeting between these teams and featured a combined total of 29 runs—the third highest ever between them.
Curley finished with three hits and five RBI for New Orleans, just missing a cycle by one home run. Tidwell and Smith each had two doubles and together scored seven runs. Kruise Newman walked twice and drove in a run while Brock Hill pitched 1.2 scoreless innings.
