The New Orleans Privateers will play two road baseball games this week, first against Tulane on Tuesday night and then at the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) on Wednesday, according to a March 16 announcement. The Tuesday game will be broadcast on 106.7 FM The Ticket.

These matchups come after the Privateers secured an 11-7 win over Incarnate Word (UIW) in their most recent series finale, marking the third consecutive week they have won the last game of a series. In that game, New Orleans scored eight runs in the first three innings and hit three home runs.

The pitching staff set a season-high with 14 strikeouts against UIW, with Jack Garvey contributing seven strikeouts in just three innings out of the bullpen. This season, New Orleans has recorded double-digit strikeouts as a team four times. Four players—Owen Smith (44), Dylan Biddick (42), Eli Tidwell (41), and Kruise Newman (40)—have each surpassed 40 total bases so far this year.

Miles Curley returned to action over the weekend after missing two weeks due to a knee injury. He went 4-for-13 at the plate and hit his first home run of the season during Sunday’s game against UIW.

Earlier this season, New Orleans defeated Tulane 11-3 at Maestri Field, which was their ninth win in their last twelve meetings against Tulane at home. The margin was their largest since a 16-4 victory in 2023.

Tulane enters Tuesday’s contest with a record of nine wins and eleven losses after being swept by Creighton over the weekend. The Green Wave ranks nineteenth nationally in doubles with forty-seven and Tanner Chun is thirty-second nationally for walks drawn with nineteen. ULM holds a record of twelve wins and nine losses; they previously beat New Orleans 9-1 earlier this year and recently swept Texas State in conference play. ULM is among the top ten teams nationally for total hits with two hundred thirty-three.
