The New Orleans Police Department announced on March 20 that it is asking for the public’s help to identify three people who may have information about a fatal shooting.

The request comes after officers responded to a shooting on March 11 at around 10:40 p.m. in the 7900 block of Chef Menteur Highway. When police arrived, they found an adult male with gunshot wounds outside a convenience store. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives said they have identified three individuals who could have knowledge relevant to the case. These individuals are not currently considered suspects but are being sought for questioning because of information they may possess.

Authorities remind the public that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact NOPD Homicide detectives at 504-658-5300. Anonymous tips can be provided by calling Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP, or online at https://www.crimestoppersgno.org.
