NOPD seeks public help to identify suspect in aggravated assault on RTA bus driver

The New Orleans Police Department announced on Apr. 1 that it is seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a suspect wanted for an aggravated assault incident. The event took place on Friday, March 27, at approximately 7:07 p.m. at the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Desire Parkway in the Third District.

Police said that preliminary reports indicate the suspect allegedly pointed a firearm at the driver of a Regional Transit Authority bus during the incident.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about this case to contact NOPD Third District detectives at 504-658-6030. Individuals who wish to remain anonymous can report tips by calling Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
