NOPD seeks public help to identify suspect in illegal dumping incident

The New Orleans Police Department announced on Apr. 1 that it is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person suspected of illegal dumping.

The request follows an incident that took place on March 31 at about 3:00 PM, when a subject reportedly dumped trash under an overpass in the 1400 block of North Claiborne Avenue.

Police say investigators are working to identify and locate the individual involved. They urge anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to contact the NOPD First District Community Liaison Officer at 504-658-6406 or the NOPD First District at 504-658-6010.

People who wish to remain anonymous can report tips by calling Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP. Tips can also be submitted online through https://www.crimestoppersgno.org.
