Police seek public help in illegal dumping investigation involving pickup truck

New Orleans Police are seeking the public’s help to locate a person of interest in an illegal dumping investigation. The individual, identified as Corey McCormick, is described as a Black male born on January 6, 1975.

Investigators report that on February 23, 2026, at approximately 12:03 p.m., a black 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie pickup truck with Louisiana license plate RA6920 was involved in an illegal dumping incident near the Michoud Boulevard exit from Interstate 10 westbound. Corey McCormick is listed as the registered owner of this vehicle and has an address in Lacombe, Louisiana.

Police clarified that “Corey McCormick is NOT currently wanted for this crime and is sought because of the information he is believed to possess.”
