Six members of the Tulane Green Wave women’s bowling team competed at the USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championship (ISC) sectional qualifier on March 13 at Cityview Lanes in Fort Worth, Texas. Juanelyz Solla and Linnea Holcomb led the group, finishing 45th and 46th out of 137 participants.

The event required each bowler to play six games, with the top finishers from four sectional sites and additional high scorers advancing to the national championship. The Fort Worth sectional advanced its top five bowlers to the next round.

Solla was Tulane’s highest finisher, posting a total pin count of 1,143 with individual game scores ranging from 162 to 216. Holcomb followed closely behind with a score of 1,141. Other Tulane competitors included Mia Stolakis (73rd place), Sarah Rubi (81st), Paige Matiasek (85th), and Emma Figert (134th). Rubi was also recognized earlier in the day as a member of the Conference USA All-Academic Team.

The team portion of the sectional qualifier is scheduled to begin on Saturday and will continue over two days. Eighteen teams are set to compete for four spots at the USBC Intercollegiate Team Championship by playing a total of 64 Baker games across both days.

Tickets for upcoming men’s and women’s basketball and baseball events are available through Tulane’s ticket office or online. Fans can follow Tulane bowling and athletics on various social media platforms for updates.
