Fleur Sprengers and Kateryna Kalistratova were named Second Team All-Southland in singles as the all-conference teams were released on Apr. 17.

The recognition highlights the strong performances of both athletes during the regular season, with their achievements contributing to the New Orleans Privateers women’s tennis program’s continued presence among conference honorees.

Sprengers and Kalistratova combined for a 27-5 record in singles at flight one and two, respectively, during the 2026 campaign. Sprengers won 14 of her first 15 matches at flight one, losing only once in three sets among her victories. She finished with a 6-3 record against Southland opponents and now has 25 singles wins over her first two years, placing her inside the top 20 in program history since full records began in 1997. In doubles play, she paired with Danique Vermue for nine wins overall, including four conference victories—three at flight one.

Kalistratova concluded her senior year with a personal best record of 13-2 overall and a mark of 7-1 against Southland competition. Her career total of 33 singles wins ranks her thirteenth since records began being kept in ’97. Known for excelling in extended matches, she went undefeated (5-0) this season when matches reached three sets and holds an active streak of ten straight three-set match victories. She also posted a perfect record (2-0) in tiebreak sets this year.

This marks the fourth time in six years that multiple Privateer women have earned spots on an All-Southland team. Other individual awards included Estefania Gonzalez from UIW winning Player of the Year and Sonia Carlsson from McNeese receiving Coach of the Year honors.

The Privateers are set to open their Southland tournament campaign against McNeese on Sunday at 2 p.m., continuing their pursuit for postseason success.
