94 percent of applicants to Loyola University New Orleans were admitted for fall 2018

At Loyola University New Orleans, 95 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 64 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in New Orleans enrolled 4,261 students in fall 2018, including 2,982 in undergraduate and 1,279 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

39 percent of undergraduates are residents of Louisiana, and 58 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (45 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (18 percent).

The school admitted 94 percent of the 4,514 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 19 percent enrolled.
