There were 3,520 ninth grade students enrolled in Jefferson Parish schools in the 2021-22 school year, 16.3% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Bonnabel Magnet Academy High School welcomed the most ninth grade students in the parish.

Within Jefferson Parish schools, the most students were found in first grade classes, while 12th grade classes were the smallest.

Statewide, Jefferson Parish ranked 2nd highest in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 3rd highest the year before.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
