73.4% of St. Bernard Parish residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 43,821 citizens living in St. Bernard Parish in 2021, 73.4% were old enough to vote, equating to 32,173 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 15,568 were male, constituting 48.4%, and 16,605 were female, making up 51.6%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in St. Bernard Parish during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 76.4%.
