8.5% of St. Bernard Parish residents considered unemployed in 2021

St. Bernard Parish recorded an unemployment rate of 8.5% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,749 people out of the 43,821 living in St. Bernard Parish at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in St. Bernard Parish has decreased compared to the 9% registered in 2020.
