The NOPD is thrilled to announce that the celebrated new addition to the department, Patch the Mini Horse, will join Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick and NOPD leadership for two days as they walk the 2024 Mardi Gras Uptown parade route.
Patch's first appearance will be on Thursday, February 8, at 5:30 p.m. at Napoleon Avenue and Saint Charles Avenue. Patch will trot with the group to Saint Charles and Louisiana Avenue.
Then, on Sunday, February 11, the walk will begin at 4:15 p.m. at Magazine Street and Jefferson Avenue. Patch will meet Kirkpatrick at Harmony Circle and walk with the group to Poydras Street and St Charles.
Residents, visitors, and media representatives are encouraged to come see the spirit of unity and joy that Patch brings to the City of New Orleans.
