Troy A. Carter, a Congressman representing Louisiana's 2nd district, has recently voiced his concerns on social media regarding the policies of the Musk-Trump administration. His statements, made through a series of tweets, criticize various actions taken by the administration and highlight their potential impacts on different communities.

On March 6, 2025, Carter addressed President Trump's speech to Congress. He stated that "During his Address to a Joint Session of Congress, President Trump spread countless lies (not surprising). The Musk-Trump Admin policies harm families, farmers, seniors, and many other communities in #LA02 and across the country. We’re calling them out and fighting back."

Later that day, Carter expressed his disapproval of a decision affecting national weather forecasting centers. On March 6, 2025, he tweeted that "The Musk-Trump administration is canceling leases for two vital @NOAA centers that provide national weather forecasting. This reckless decision endangers communities in #LA02 that know natural disasters all too well. Extreme weather doesn’t discriminate, and these actions put..."

In another tweet dated March 7, 2025, Carter referenced criticism from within Donald Trump's family regarding Medicaid plans. He noted that “Even Donald Trump’s own family is calling him out—his nephew, Fred Trump III, condemned his reckless and cruel plan to gut Medicaid. When your own blood says you’re going too far, you know it’s bad.”
