Congressman Troy A. Carter, representing Louisiana’s 2nd District, communicated his perspectives through social media on various topics of concern. Carter, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2021, used his platform to express his stance on Social Security, infrastructure funding, and social justice.

On April 3, 2025, Carter addressed his followers with a statement about Social Security. He asserted, "Democrats will not stop fighting to protect #SocialSecurity from the Musk-Trump administration.
