Theatre UNO in the School of the Arts opens the spring 2023 season on Wednesday, March 8 with Steve Martin’s “Picasso at the Lapin Agile,” directed by University of New Orleans professor David W. Hoover.

This long running off-Broadway absurdist comedy places Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso in a Parisian cafe in 1904, just before the renowned scientist transformed physics with his theory of relativity and the celebrated painter set the art world afire with cubism.

The performance will run through Saturday, March 18.

General admission for all shows is $15 per person. UNO alumni and seniors can see performances for $10 per person. UNO faculty, staff and students with a valid I.D. will be admitted free.

Preview performances are $5 and will occur on Wednesday, March 8 and Thursday, March 9. These performances are subject to stop and start at the discretion of the director.
