Congressman Troy A. Carter, who represents Louisiana’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to discuss labor issues, new legislation, and upcoming media appearances.
On July 15, 2025, Carter posted about rising union activity and legislative support for workers: “More workers are unionizing than at any point in decades, and public support for is at its highest in 50 years. But it’s still far too difficult for workers to join a union and collectively bargain for fair pay and benefits. That’s why I’m a proud supporter of the #PROAct—so”.
Later that day, he addressed recent legislative developments: “The #BigUglyBill is now the #BigUglyLaw, but we won’t stop fighting back to inform and protect the American people. Last week, my @HouseDemocrats colleagues joined me at #CrescentCare in @CityOfNOLA to hold Republicans accountable for these policies and discuss how we’re pushing https://t.co/oVsXYEAg4t” (July 15, 2025).
That evening, Carter announced a television appearance: “Catch me tonight on @weeknightmsnbc at 7:15 PM ET with @SymoneDSanders, @MichaelSteele, and @AliciaMenendez as we discuss Trump’s tariffs and inflation, and how the Big, Ugly Law is hurting Louisianians.” (July 15, 2025).
