On September 15, Carter encouraged viewers to tune in to his media appearance, writing, “Catch me tonight on @msnbc at 7:30 PM!” Later that evening, he recognized a major milestone for a local publication with the message, “We’re celebrating 100 years of @LouisianaWeekly! For a century, this newspaper has been a shining example of remarkable journalism and reporting on the stories that truly matter to Louisianians. This is a great milestone — here’s to many more!”

The following day, September 16, Carter marked National Voter Registration Day by urging constituents to participate in upcoming elections. He stated, “Happy National #VoterRegistration Day! The right to vote is sacred and I’m committed to protecting it. #Louisiana, find information about our upcoming elections and how to register to vote at https://t.co/otIDBN8sBT”
