Congressman Troy A. Carter, representing Louisiana’s 2nd district,expressed frustration over difficulties fans face in securing tickets due to bots and scammers on April 14, 2025. He highlighted Louisiana as the birthplace of American music and affirmed his commitment to working with artists, venues, and industry leaders in safeguarding fans and preserving the music heritage.

In a separate message posted later on April 14, he extended his wishes for Vaisakhi, a celebration of faith and fresh beginnings, to those celebrating in Louisiana’s 2nd district, hoping for blessings during the festivities.

On April 15, Congressman Carter addressed concerns regarding potential Medicaid cuts, pointing out that proposed Republican plans include reducing $880 billion from the program. He emphasized the significant reliance on Medicaid by 1.4 million residents in Louisiana, including children, moms and newborns, working adults with disabilities, and nursing home residents.

Troy Carter is currently serving in the U.S. Congress, representing Louisiana’s 2nd district. He replaced previous U.S Congress member Cedric Richmond in 2021.
