The Tulane baseball team will host South Florida for its final three home games of the 2026 season at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium from May 8 to May 10. The series features matchups scheduled for Friday and Saturday evenings, followed by a Sunday afternoon game. Special events are planned, including a pregame graduation ceremony on Saturday and senior recognition on Sunday.
This weekend’s series is significant as both teams share identical conference records (8-13), making these games important for postseason positioning. Promotions include Friday Night Bingo, Beach Bash with giveaways on Saturday, and Senior Day activities plus collectible baseball cards and autographs on Sunday.
The opening pitching matchup will see Tulane senior J.D. Rodriguez make his second Friday start of the year, holding a 5-1 record with a 4.97 ERA over 50.2 innings pitched this season. South Florida plans to start sophomore right-hander Kaden Smith, who has tallied 39 strikeouts in just under 39 innings while limiting opponents to a .238 batting average.
South Florida enters the series having lost six of its last seven games but leads the conference in earned run average (ERA) at 4.41 under head coach Mitch Hannahs, now in his second year with the Bulls program.
For fans unable to attend in person, all three games will be broadcast live on ESPN+, with radio coverage provided by Corey Gloor through WRBH 88.3 FM/Varsity Network beginning fifteen minutes before each first pitch.
Looking ahead, Tulane will conclude its regular season schedule on the road against Rice after this weekend’s homestand.
