Tulane men’s basketball secured a 77-66 win over Temple on Wednesday night at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse. The Green Wave improved their season record to 14-10 overall and 5-6 in conference play, while Temple dropped to 15-9 and 7-4 in league games.

A decisive 20-4 run early in the second half gave Tulane control of the game. The team shot 68.4 percent from the field after halftime and limited Temple to just 37 percent shooting during that stretch.

With this victory, Tulane now holds a 9-6 home record for the season, including two wins against conference opponents at home. It also marks the third consecutive time Tulane has beaten Temple in New Orleans.

Tyler Ringgold led Tulane with a career-high 22 points, making six of his twelve shots. He also contributed two assists and two steals. Asher Woods added 19 points on six-of-eight shooting and had two steals as well.

Rowan Brumbaugh scored 11 points and nearly posted a double-double with nine assists and six rebounds. Curtis Williams Jr. finished with ten points, eight rebounds, and matched his career high with two blocks.

On defense, Tulane held Temple to its lowest shooting percentage of the season at just over 33 percent from the field (20-for-60). Five different Green Wave players recorded at least one block, totaling seven for the game—the fifth time this season Tulane has reached that mark.

The first half was closely contested, ending tied at 30 apiece. After trading baskets early in the second half, Tulane went on an 11-0 run to take a double-digit lead that they maintained through much of the final period.

Temple narrowed the gap to eight points late in the game but could not close further as Tulane secured the win at the free throw line.

Tulane’s next game is scheduled for Sunday, February 15 against UAB in Birmingham, Alabama. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m., and coverage will be available on ESPNU.
