Francesca Pompa and Gabriella Gilrowski led Tulane University’s women’s golf team during the second round of the Paradise Invitational, both finishing two-under par at Osprey Point Golf Course in Boca Raton, Florida. Their performances helped them climb the individual leaderboard on Tuesday, with Pompa moving up 24 spots to tie for 22nd place after shooting a 70 in the second round, bringing her total to 147 (+3). Gilrowski advanced 23 places to tie for 45th with a score of 150 (+6).
Pompa recorded five birdies during the round, increasing her tournament total to eight, which ties her for fifth overall in that category. Gilrowski added three birdies in her second round, reaching four birdies across two rounds.
Other Tulane golfers included Sophia Chen, who finished with a total score of 154 (+10) after shooting a 78 in the second round and is tied for 65th. Sophia Macia stands tied for 83rd at 157 (+13), while Cristiana Albertazzi is tied for 87th at 160 (+16).
The Green Wave team dropped three spots in the standings after the second day and are currently in 16th place with a combined score of 608 (+32) through two rounds.
The final round of the Paradise Invitational will take place on Wednesday. Albertazzi is scheduled to be Tulane’s first player to tee off at 8:15 a.m. CT.
