Tulane University men’s basketball team will face the Memphis Tigers on Sunday, March 8, in a Senior Day game at Uptown. This matchup is a rematch and offers Tulane an opportunity to sweep the season series against Memphis for the first time since 2023. A win would allow Tulane to close out its regular season with an 18-13 overall record.

The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN+. Fans can also listen live through the Tulane Sports Network from Learfield on 106.7 The Ticket, as well as via streaming options such as the Tulane Athletics App and The Varsity Network App.

This contest marks the 81st meeting between Tulane and Memphis, with Memphis leading the all-time series 65-15. In their previous encounter this season, Tulane secured a narrow victory with a layup by Rowan Brumbaugh in the final seconds, winning 78-76 in Memphis on February 1. At home, Tulane has an 11-23 record against Memphis but lost their last home meeting to the Tigers in January of last year. The most recent home win over Memphis occurred on January 21, 2024.

In their latest outing, Tulane suffered a third consecutive defeat after losing to Temple by a score of 60-89 on March 5. Only Rowan Brumbaugh and Scotty Middleton reached double figures for Tulane during that game; Brumbaugh contributed 14 points and seven assists while Middleton added twelve points.

Memphis comes into Sunday’s game having lost seven straight games following a defeat to South Florida (89-96) at home. Their current overall record stands at 12-18 with a conference mark of 7-10. On the road this season, they have won just two games out of twelve attempts, including only two victories against league opponents away from home.

Nationally, Memphis ranks among the top teams in bench scoring with an average of over thirty-two points per game coming from reserves and holds opponents to under thirty percent shooting from three-point range—placing them twenty-second nationally in that category. Dug McDaniel leads Memphis in scoring (13.8), assists (4.6), and steals (2.0).

After facing Memphis, Tulane will travel to Birmingham for the American Conference Championship tournament starting Wednesday, March 11 at Legacy Arena at BJCC.

Tickets are available by phone or online through official channels provided by Tulane Athletics.
