Tulane University men’s basketball team will face South Florida in Tampa, Florida, on Sunday, March 1. The Green Wave aims to recover after a recent loss and has won its last three road games. Their overall away record this season stands at 6-2, including a 5-2 mark in conference play.

This meeting marks the 46th time Tulane and South Florida have played each other, with Tulane leading the series 29-19. Earlier this season, Tulane lost to South Florida 83-97 in New Orleans. On the road, Tulane holds a slight advantage over South Florida with a 12-10 record but dropped their last game in Tampa on March 5, 2024, by a score of 72-85. The team’s most recent win against South Florida in Tampa came on February 18, 2023.
Tulane’s four-game winning streak ended with a home loss to Tulsa on February 25 by a score of 64-90. In that game, Curits Williams Jr. led with 16 points and five rebounds while Asher Woods contributed 14 points, marking his fifth straight game scoring in double digits.
South Florida comes into Sunday’s contest riding a six-game winning streak after defeating Rice on the road and improving to a record of 20-8 overall and 12-3 in conference play. The Bulls are strong at home with an 11-2 record this season and average over 92 points per game there. Izaiyah Nelson leads South Florida with averages of 16.3 points per game and leads the league in field goal percentage (58.1), rebounds per game (9.9), and double-doubles (17).
After playing South Florida, Tulane will travel to Philadelphia to face Temple University on Thursday, March 5.
