Tulane men’s basketball secured its fourth consecutive win with an 81-75 victory over Rice at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse on Sunday. The Green Wave improved their season record to 17-10 overall and 8-6 in conference play, while Rice fell to 11-16 and 5-9.

The game marked Tulane’s seventh straight win against Rice and extended its home winning streak over the Owls to five games. Tulane now leads the all-time series against Rice, holding a 31-24 advantage, including a 21-4 record in Uptown.

Asher Woods led Tulane with a team-high 24 points, matching his career best set earlier this season. Woods also contributed three rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Rowan Brumbaugh added 19 points—his nineteenth consecutive double-digit scoring game—along with six rebounds and a team-leading six assists. Tyler Ringgold finished with 16 points, seven rebounds, five assists (a career high), three steals, and one block.

Scotty Middleton scored 10 points for Tulane, making three shots from beyond the arc. Middleton has reached double figures and made at least three three-pointers in each of the last three games; Tulane is undefeated this season when he scores at least ten points.

The first half saw both teams trading leads before Middleton hit a corner three-pointer just before halftime to give Tulane a narrow lead at the break. The Green Wave opened the second half with an 18-5 run to build a significant advantage. Despite Rice narrowing the gap late in the game, key plays by Middleton and Brumbaugh helped secure the win for Tulane.

Tulane will next face Tulsa on Wednesday, February 25 at home.
