The Tulane men’s tennis team won a close match against New Mexico with a 4-3 score on March 18 at the Goldring Tennis Center.
This win brings Tulane’s season record to 5-7, while New Mexico falls to 5-10. The match was decided in singles play after New Mexico secured the doubles point early on. Tulane players Daniel Phillips, Alec Gaudin, Piotr Andrzejewski, and Andres Delgadillo each won their singles matches to secure the overall victory for the Green Wave.
Gaudin has now achieved three consecutive singles wins. In doubles, Phillips and his partner Lance Nisbet improved their season record together to 7-2.
Tulane will continue its busy week with another home match scheduled for Friday against Southern. Earlier in the season, Tulane defeated Southern with a score of 7-0 at City Park Tennis Center.
The results reflect ongoing efforts by the team as they look to improve their standing this season.
